Eco-Dyeing is the process of extracting dyes from plants and steaming them onto paper or fabric. Exploring it is an alternative to current day chemical dyes used on clothing, which can be toxic to the environment and to the people wearing the clothes. We want to reduce our carbon footprint by up-cycling and giving good quality second hand clothing and furniture a new life.
We strive to make art that is inspired by the landscape, ocean and people around us. Our clothes are eco-dyed with local plants and berries and mostly up-cycled from local thrift stores. We gather vintage articles for others to use in their art work, often rescuing them from the recycle centre and oblivion. We are so fortunate to live where we do and we try to leave as small a footprint as possible.
